How To Install Brutal Wolfenstein
Hey guys, anyone know how to get RtCW (straight install from the disc) to run on Windows 10? I keep getting 'cannot write to hunkusage.dat' when I try to start a new game. Hey, I'm really sorry to annoy you with this question, but can you help explain how to successfully install and play Brutal Wolfenstein / Project Bulletstorm with Zandromus. I've been trying to work it for the past couple hours with absolutely no success. If you can try to summarise it in very simple terms and steps, it would be most appreciated. Re: Brutal Wolfenstein 3D(Version 5.0 works are near to star by RobLoach » Thu Sep 08, 2016 5:59 am Added Brutal Wolfenstein on Lutris, which allows easy installation and playing of it on Linux with Lutris.
So, task at hand: I ran across Brutal Wolfenstein recently, and decided to download it. Seems like the latest version out there is 4.5. I've had luck running it off of GZdoom and base Zdoom, with my core problem being no sound other than music. Various changes do nothing, and even then, I can only load a basic synth plug for the MIDI. Brutal Wolfenstein 3D is a mod for Doom II, created by Zio McCall. Description: A mod for Doom II inspired by Brutal Doom, but this time 'brutalizing' Wolfenstein 3D by adding new weapons, enemies, textures, animations, and of course, gore. That's not all though - the maps from the original game are being redesigned too.

Description (by id Software)
It's World War II, and B.J. Blazkowicz -- the Allies' bad boy of espionage -- is a terminal action seeker built for abuse with an attitude to match. (That's you.) There's just one small problem: you've been captured by Nazis, tortured and imprisoned beneath the intricate maze of Castle Wolfenstein where you await an inhumane execution. Now, you must do anything and everything to escape from the belly of the Nazi dungeon. Or die trying.
