Prop Hunt Controls Gmod
Welcome to Arweth's Domain System Engineer, Developer. Welcome to my corner of the Internet. Here you will find my projects, thoughts and are able to contact me. Basic controls/tips for Prop Hunt: E to pickup a prop/turn into a prop F3 to Taunt Right clicking with the SMG out will launch an SMG Grenade which does AoE damage, great for killing small props like the Mouse and Projector Remote on Office. Prop Hunt is basically a TF2 mod primarily written and also released by Darkimmortal with a pre-defined set of associated maps developed by numerous authors, indicated by prefix. In late 2013, Prop Huntalso becomes a famous MOD in Gmod Free. It comprises a number of fixes, few of which are predictable in thebugs section of their official website. Once the Prop Hunt portion is chosen, navigate to the home screen and locate 'Sandbox' in the bottom-left corner. By clicking on that button, the GMod community can switch the mode to 'Prop Hunt'. After pressing the 'Prop Hunt' section within 'Sandbox', players tap the first option in the list on the left panel, 'Start New Game.'
Garry’s Mod is a community driven physics sandbox, developed by Facepunch Studios and published by Valve Corporation in 2006.
GMod was originally a mod for Half Life 2 but was later made into a standalone game. Base game mode sandbox has no objectives. Player has the freedom to spawn things.
First thing I want to say is that you need the Orange Box to play this game. If you don’t have the Orange Box games, some textures won’t load. Basically, the game gets all of its assets from the other Valve games. Some people bypass this issue by patching the game via unofficial patch. To me, it makes no sense. You are buying the game, only to see texture errors.
GMod has a huge steam workshop. Community made tons of great stuff you to choose from. Having a great, productive community is a huge positive. That’s why this game has been alive for years. Lots of things to try out, lots of game modes to play.
Whenever you enter a server, it will start to download stuff from workshop. And it takes a lot of time. I mean at least 1 hour of download, just to enter a server. If you have a slow internet or a pc, it will be annoying to wait for it to download. There are “FastDl” servers which are fast to join because they make you download less stuff.
GMod has lots of game modes to choose from and most popular are: Roleplay, Sandbox, Prop Hunt and Terrorist Hunt.
- If you love roleplaying, this game is definitely for you. You can be a student in Hogwarts or be a stormtrooper. It definitely takes time and disk space but it is worth it.
- Prop hunt is one of the most classic GMod game modes. It’s basically hide and seek but you hide as as a prop and seekers will try to find you and shoot you with guns. It’s really fun to play.
- GMod film making is really popular. Instead of using a complex program to animate, you can make your own film, short-films in gmod. They don’t look good or serious but they are definitely fun to watch.
Garry’s Mod is a great sandbox game with lots of steam workshop items you to check it out. One of the must have games on steam.
Doesn't have the best graphics because it's a somewhat old game but still has decent graphics. With some patches you can make GMod look better.
With steam workshop, this game has lots of stuff to offer.
PROS / CONS
- Huge steam workshop
- Lots of gamemodes
- Great community
- Long downloads, huge mod sizes. Also takes lots of disk space.
- Missing textures

SRB2 PROP HUNT How good are you at hiding in plain sight? Download here (please read the thread) This is a custom game mode I've been working on since 2.2 first came out to port the popular game mode from GMOD and TF2 called prop hunt. For those who don't know what prop hunt is, prop hunt consists of two teams, one team are known as the props and can disguise themselves as props such as rings, plants and monitors. The second team has to find them and shoot them down. the hunters have a limited number of shots they can make before they lose but hitting a prop successfully will make them drop around 10 rings to replenish your ammo, watch out though, if you run out of rings and there's no rings left in the map it's game over for you! the props have a 100 hp at the beginning of each match, a single hit with no defense will destroy you immediately but if you can find a large prop you'll be given additional defense for how many hits you can take before you hit 0, but watch out, your speed will drop depending on how strong the prop is. Everyone has the same physics and game play, essentially making player characters purely cosmetic, as such prop hunt has it's own sub skin system for the hunters, to select a skin press next or previous weapon to cycle through them on the match starting screen. Currently only Mario and Doom guy are available Prop hunt includes a number of sound clips for props to use to tease hunters, every time a prop taunts they emit a noise and gain a point, like with sub skins pressing next weapon and previous weapon will change what sound plays, however these can only be played once the match starts. BE CAREFUL! there's a taunt timer that's counting down and if it hits 0 you'll be forced to taunt so you better make sure you're on a short clip! Press fire to manually taunt. This game mode includes several maps, some ported and some completely new. These maps include
WAITTIME [time] - sets the number of seconds before the match begins MATCHTIME [time] - sets how many minutes the hunters have to find the props MESSAGE [text] - a fun command for the admin to use, sends a customized message to all players in the server TAUNTTIME [time] - time in seconds before the props can taunt, setting to 0 will disable the timer Please keep in mind this is an early release, there may be some bugs I haven't caught, there's still a tonne of maps that need to be finished, extra sub skins and I need to create a guide for creating sub skins. Any feed back is greatly appreciated and I encourage suggestions.
